The Special Convention of the National Freedom Front(JNP) held on the 02nd of December at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium was very sucessful with a large gathering of the Members of the party.
Nearly Ten Thousand members of the party participated in this event. The Secretary General, Minister Meithreepala Sirisena, the Treasurer, Minister Dulles Alahapperuma from Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP), Ven, Athureliye Rathana MP from the Jathika Hela Ururmaya(JHU), Secretary General of the Unied Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) Minister Susil Premajayanth, Senior Advisor to the President MP Mr. Basil Rajapakse, Represenatives of MEP, EPDP and many other Political Parties were also participated in the event and they rendered their greetings to the convention on behalf of their parties.
Sri Lanka Consul Genaral to Russian Federation and Political Adviser of the Chinese Embassy were also among the invitees.
JVP Central Committee Member and the National Organoser of the Socialist Womens’ Organisation, Priyanga Kothalawala took the membership of the JNP was highlighted in the event.
Three Political Proposals were also forwarded and got the consent of the gathering. The convention was enlightened with cultural events.
