A huge protest campaign was held today (01) in front of the British High Commission in Colombo by the Jathika Nidhahas Peramina (National Freedom Front) against the speech made by Mr. David Miliband; the secretary of foreign affairs at the Global Tamil Forum Conference-GTF (Global Terrorist Forum- emphasis added) motivating GTF members to establish a separate tamil state in Sri Lanka and also to express the utmost condemnation of the meeting held by the British PM Mr. Gordon Brown with the representatives of GTF at House of Commons.
Chairman of JNP, Mr. Wimal Weerawansa, media spokesman Mr. Mohammad Mussamil, Anuradhapura district leader Mr. Weerakumara Dissanayake, Western Provincial Council member Mr. Roger Senevirtane and large number of JNP activists participated in this protest campaign.
At the end of the protest, a protest letter addressed to the British PM was handed over to the Acting High Commissioner Mr. Mark Gooding.
